2023 CAE/CL/JOHNES Herd test results: NEGATIVE
Located in Arizona, the Dawn*Star LaMancha Dairy Goat herd began in 2007. However, after 13 years (due to family health issues), we were regrettably forced to disperse our herd. We had hoped to start a herd again, and were given that opportunity to re-build in the winter of 2020. As in the past, we will continue to breed for temperament, structure, and ability to show. With a particular interest in developing high capacity milk production with extended lactations.
Our goats are tested annually for CAE, CL, and Johnes in addition to being purchased from clean tested herds as we continue to re-build. 2021 began our official enrollment in the ADGA Plus program! We are excited to begin attending what ever shows we can, in addition to participating in DHI. We also hope to partake in Linear Appraisal (LA) in the future (pending ADGAs decision to continue the program).
